For a detailed explanation of why each of these components is important, please visit the Surgical Protocol page!

Generally, we schedule surgeries on Monday through Friday and do our best to accommodate your busy schedule. We understand that some emergency surgical situations are unplanned and our team will take the necessary steps to ensure that your pet is treated as soon as possible.

Standard pre-operative appointments should be scheduled before your pet's procedure to fill out the necessary paperwork, run the appropriate bloodwork, as well as go over anything you'll need to know in the days leading up to your pet's surgery. This also gives you a chance to ask any questions you have regarding the procedure and post-operative care.

We always encourage you to ask questions! We know the thought of your pet having surgery can be extremely stressful which is why we wanted to include detailed information on our surgery process as well as the tools we use to guarantee your pet is as safe as possible before, during, and after their surgery. Our veterinarians and staff are here to reassure you that you and your pet are in the best hands possible!

If you would like to consult with us about surgery for your pet please call us, email our Surgical Technician Renee at surgery@butlercreekah.com, or schedule an appointment. It is best if we are able to see your pet and examine it in order to provide the best advice regarding surgery prior to scheduling. You are also welcome to tour the surgery suite and facilities at any time!
