What is Massage Therapy?

Soft tissue mobilization through stroking, rubbing, kneading, and taping to aid in muscle recovery and maintenance. When a muscle is overworked, over-exercised, or injured adhesions can develop in the tissue. These adhesions are similar to scar tissue. During the natural healing process, they will constrict making it difficult for the muscle to function to its full potential. Sports massage in particular targets the breaking up of these adhesions while also improving circulation and the release of endorphins.
