Boarding Policies & Procedures

Requirements:

For the protection of all our patients, all pets coming to stay with us are required to have the following:

  • For dogs:

    • Rabies (1-year or 3-year)

    • DHPP

    • Bordetella (every 6 months)

    • Heartworm test (every 12 months)

    • Fecal test​ (every 6 months)

  • For cats:

    • Rabies ​

    • FVRCP

    • Fecal (every 6 months)

​

All boarders must also be free of fleas, ticks, and intestinal parasites. If your pet has previously received care elsewhere, we will need official records from a licensed veterinarian of your pet's vaccinations, heartworm test (dogs), and fecal testing. When making a boarding reservation, tell us the name of your previous veterinary care provider and we will be more than happy to request the records for you!

Boarding FAQ's

  • When can I drop off my pet?

    • You are welcome to drop off your pet any time during regular business hours; Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-5:30 PM & Saturday 8:30 AM-3:30 PM.

  • When can I pick up my pet? What if they're being bathed/groomed?

    • You can pick your pet up any time during regular business hours. Please be advised that pets being bathed will not be ready for pickup until after 4:30 PM. If your pet is being groomed, you will receive a call when your pet is ready for pickup.

  • What do I need to bring for my pet's stay?

    • Bedding - Please do not bring bedding from home. To ensure the cleanest environment possible, we provide all our guests with clean bedding daily.

    • Food - Veterinarians do not recommend a sudden diet change. You must bring your pet's regular diet from home in pre-measured Ziploc baggies labeled with the date/time (AM or PM) it's to be given. If you choose to have us provide your pet's food (at no additional charge), we feed a high-quality, gastrointestinal food for sensitive stomachs to help avoid an upset stomach due to a sudden food change.

    • Treats - Rawhides, bones, and other chewies are not permitted while boarding. Peanut Butter Kong treats are available for an additional charge.

    • Medications - We are happy to give your pet's medication while they're staying with us and also welcome special needs boarders like diabetics that require blood glucose monitoring and insulin injections. There will be an additional daily fee for this service. All medication must be in the original container. We will only give prescription medication as indicated on the label, or as directed by a veterinarian. Any over-the-counter medication or supplement is also subject to the veterinarian's approval before being given.

Detailed estimates are available upon request. There is an additional charge for pets boarding on Memorial Day, Labor Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.  All prices are subject to change without notice. Payment plans are not available. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
